• I was a professional copywriter before I was a professional journalist — my first “real” job was working as a fashion copywriter for Marks & Spencer in London. It required a lot of creativity to find a hundred ways to describe a plain white shirt, let me tell you

• My clients have included luxury hotel chains, music festivals, major arts organisations, blue chip real estate agencies and tech startups

• To sharpen my skills, I’ve just enrolled in three courses at the Australian School of Copywriting: Copywriting for Profit; the Business of Freelance Copywriting and SEO copywriting (yes, I can help with SEO too)

• I’ve done lot of weird and wonderful things in my 24 years of writing (shoutout to Jo Barry, who edited me as a 16-year-old writing for Fashion Journal)

• I can write podcast scripts (I’ve just finished writing and producing a podcast about sexual assault in the music industry and completed the short course Creating a Narrative Podcast at NYU)
